WHO IS WHO TO CREDIT FOR JOB AND EMPLOYMENT IMPROVEMENT IN USA AFTER THE DREADFUL RECESSION IN 2008?
ย
During the recession in 2008, all Americans were worried. The unemployment rate was 10% in 2009 and the GDP growth was -0.3% in 2008. In 2015 the GDP growth had risen to 2.9%, an increase of 3.2% from -0.3%while the in December 2016 the unemployment rate had gone down to 4.7% from 10%, a decrease of 5.3%
In January 2019 the unemployment rate had gone down to 4% from 4.7% in December 2016, a decrease of 0.7%, while the GDP growth had risen to 3.4% in 2019, an increase of 0.5% from 2.9% on December 2016.
Between 2008 and 2016, President Barack Obama was the President of USA when there was an increase of 3.2% GDP growth rate and a decrease of 5.3% unemployment rate. And between December 2016 to this day, President Donald J Trump is the President of USA when there has been an increase of of 0.5% GDP growth rate and a decrease of 0.7% unemployment rate.
Going by the figures above, who then should be credited more for the decrease of the unemployment in USA today, and who should be credited more for the GDP growth in the USA today? Americans should applaud both President Barack Obama and President Donald J. Trump for the current admirable economic situation and for the low unemployment experienced in USA today.
