Kilifi County is on the spot after photos of students sitting on bricks went viral on social media on Thursday morning 9 May.
The school which has been identified as Mangororo Primary School is located in Jaribuni Ward, Ganze Sub county.โ
The photos circulating online show some students sitting while others standing on bricks which have submerged on water due to the ongoing rains.
Several concerned Kenyans took to Twitter and questioned the leadership of the county.
When contacted, the Kilifi County Governor Communications boss Mr James Mulei told Ureport that the Governor will soon give a statement on the issue.
Later, the Ganze Member of Parliament (MP) Teddy Mwambire responded to issue saying that there are over 30 schools in the same state.
Mwambire also blamed leadership from the previous administration citing that there was no proper planning.
The Ganze MP said he will look for funds through donors and harambees to help cater for the schools since the Constituency Development Fund (CDF) is not enough.
The MP concluded by saying that they will discuss with the boards of schools on how to start new projects using the remaining money from the last administration.
