Francis Atwoli and wife Mary Kilobi celebrate special day Barely a month after KTN News anchor Mary Kilobi surprised her husband Francis Atwoli with a cake on his birthday, July 16 was her turn in Seychelles.

According to a photo shared by Kilobi, love was in the air as she turned a year older with the Central Organisation of Trade Unions (COTU) boss in the secluded archipelago.

“Happy birthday MKA. Dear God, from the deepest part of my heart, I am truly grateful to you Papa for what you have done in me, for me and through me. Only you could do! You’ve proven many so wrong! Counting my blessings one by one! I can’t keep calm it’s my birthday…Typical of 16th July… Happiness and love,” posted Kilobi.

During the 70th birthday of the firebrand unionist, Kilobi pulled all stops to make the day a memorable one for the COTU Secretary-General.

Flanked by Atwoli’s colleagues, she brought in a cake draped in a strip of ‘COTU purple’ to a visibly moved husband at his office.

“May the Almighty God continue to bless you, keep you strong, Healthy and happy and may he watch over you for us! Unapendwa ajabu! Happy birthday Mr Amazing!” she shared.

In a candid interview with the Nairobian, the Swahili anchor described the COTU boss as an “amazing, loving, responsible man who is never bothered about mundane issues.”

“I love Atwoli, he is a caring man who is always there for me. Given another chance, I will still fall in love with him.

“Katibu (Atwoli) is very Godly. His commitment to God really attracted me to him. I had never come across a man who fears and loves God like him. He prays every morning for all of us.”

The couple resides at their IIbisil home in Kajiado.
