Sarah Wairimu’s Lawyer Exposes Cohen’s Friend’s Over Threats to His Life: Sarah Wairimu’s lawyer, Philip Murgor, on Wednesday, September 25, filed a report with the police over threats to his life by the late Tob Cohen’s friend, Patrick Kariuki Muiruri.
In a letter to OCS-Parklands police station, Murgor stated that Muiruri had threatened him during Cohen’s burial.
“Yesterday (September 24, 2019) at the funeral of the Late Tob Cohen, I was confronted by one Patrick Muiruri, a Kiambu politician who menacingly shouted at me not to pick on his daughter, but on him if I wanted a confrontation.

“Thereafter, he insulted me in the following words ‘f**k you’ and shouted: ‘I will deal with you outside’” Murgor was quoted by K24.
He added that Muiruri charged at him but was restrained by other advocates, Chege Kirundi and Cliff Ombeta.
“Given the unexplained leading role, interest and positions taken publicly by Mr Muiruri in the case facing my client Mrs Sarah Cohen, I take this outburst as a threat in an attempt to intimidate me as an advocate for Mrs Cohen.
“I have therefore taken the decision to record my complaint with yourself, and ask that you immediately commence investigation regarding the intentions of and the threats by the said Mr Patrick Muiruri,” Murgor explained in his formal complaint.
During the ceremony, it was reported that Sarah Wairimu had to be whisked away by police officers after the event turned hostile with emotions rising high on Tuesday, September 24 at the Jewish Cemetry along Wangari Maathai Road in Nairobi.
According to The Standard, as the burial was drawing to an end, police officers were overpowered by the huge crowd who were following the events from a distance.
As the widow was being driven away from the burial in a police vehicle towards Lang’ata Women Prison, a crowd outside the burial venue stoned the cars.
