A Kenyan woman allegedly tried to bribe police officers after driving drunk and crashing her car, which broke her daughter’s left collarbone,
According to Atlanta News Now (AJC),Rachel Michuki of Kennesaw Georgia was arrested last Wednesday morning after crashing into another vehicle on George Busbee Parkway. Cobb County police officers that arrested her said that she had bloodshot and watery eyes when they arrived between 9:20 a.m. and 9:50 a.m.
Rachel insisted that she was not drunk that morning but she had few drinks the night before. She however failed an alcohol test at the scene. she offered an officer cash in exchange for not being arrested, telling the other officer that the first officer “can’t do it alone,” the warrants said.
At the time of the accident, Rachel’s daughter and her mother were also in the car,the daughter’s left collarbone was broken and the mother injured her leg though the injury was not mentioned in the arrest warrants.
She was booked into the Cobb County jail on charges of bribery, serious injury by vehicle, DUI and failure to yield, jail records show. She was released the next day on an $8,470 bond.
