He studied visa preparation materials carefully, practiced answering potential questions, and worked on clearly explaining his academic goals and future plans. The morning of the interview was emotional and intense. Unable to sleep, he woke up around 3 a.m. and spent hours pacing in his room as time seemed to move unusually slowly. By early morning, he headed to the embassy ready to face the moment he had worked toward for months.
During the interview, the visa officer asked about his university choice, alternative applications, and how he intended to repay his education loan.
