The motion by the prosecution is seeking answers on why some Kenyan witnesses have refused to travel to The Hague to testify in the case against Deputy President William Ruto and radio journalist Joshua Sang.

However, the motion has been opposed by Ruto and Sang’s defence teams terming it as inconsistent with the Rome Statute and Kenyan laws.

The AG is required to clarify what Kenyan laws states on the matter.

Muigai is also required to update the court on the status of cooperation requests earlier made by prosecutor Fatou Bensouda.
