Jaro soja was blocked from getting to where President Uhuru Kenyatta was seated.
The ‘sirkal’ fanatic might have to book a meeting with the head of State like everyone else
Gor Mahia fan Jared Otieno aka Jaro Soja yesterday found himself in unfamiliar territory when he attempted to march up to the dais where President Uhuru Kenyatta was seated, at Jacaranda Grounds in Nairobi.
The President’s hawk-eyed security detail blocked him from going to meet Uhuru, never mind that the two had met and even shared a joke or two at State House, Nairobi in 2014.
The ‘sirkal’ fanatic might have to book a meeting with the head of State like everyone else.

Uhuru Kenyatta attending a Gor Mahia match:
On March 8, 2020, President Uhuru Kenyatta attended the Mashemeji Derby (Gor Mahia vs AFC Leopards) at Moi International Sports Centre, Kasarani.
He was accompanied by his son Muhoho Kenyatta, and was welcomed by fans in the VIP section.
Earlier reports had mentioned that he would “grace” the derby match that day, which was confirmed.
After attending the match, he also pledged and later delivered financial support to both clubs (Gor Mahia and AFC Leopards). For example, he gave KSh 12 million each to cater for expenses following a match that ended in a 1–1 draw.
