A Kenyan drug suspect arrested in Philippine

The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) has arrested a female member of the African Drug Syndicate (ADS) and a Filipina drug mule recruiter and confiscated 4.5 kilos of shabu with a street value of P24 million in the operation.

PDEA Director General Undersecretary Jose S. Gutierrez, Jr. presented the suspects, Elizabeth Runana Nyamdura, a Kenyan national, and Maria Grace Navarro Lacson, alias "Gina Lacson," Thursday at the PDEA Headquarters in Quezon City.

According to operatives of the PDEA Special Enforcement Service (PDEA-SES), Nyamdura and Lacson were caught in the act of turning over packages containing 4.5 kilos of shabu to a PDEA agent and a confidential informant at Room 429 of Hostel 1632 in Adriatico Street, Malate, Manila on June 29, 2011.

The shabu, with an estimated value of P24 million, was contained in four aluminum foils in vacuum-sealed transparent plastic
