A Kenyan lady has passed away in New Jersey, USA
It is with profound sorrow and humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing to Glory of Mrs. Ruth Nzaumi Muinde on Wednesday, June 22nd 2011 at Hackensack University Medical Center in Hackensack, New Jersey following a short illness.
Mrs. Muinde had come to the US about 3 weeks ago to help in the care of her granddaughter Sheila who has cancer.
Mrs. Ruth Muinde leaves behind her husband, John Kisilu Muinde of Thatha Village, Kithyoko, Machakos. Children; Dr. Maria Mwikali Kioko of Lodi, New Jersey; Alfornse Mbithi Kisilu – Barclays Bank, Accra, Ghana; Winrose Mutindi Kisilu – Nakuru DC Office; Raphael Mutuku Kisilu- TNT International; Michael Muinde Kisilu – Nairobi; Matthew Kioko Kisilu – Eldoret; Elizabeth Nthambi Kisilu – B.A.T. Mother in law to Jeremiah Kioko Ndunga of Lodi, New Jersey; Christine Nyaga of African Development Bank, Nairobi; Martin Muli- DC Kangema and Veronica Kioko – Survey Office, Eldoret.
Grandmother to Sheila Kioko, Paul Kioko of Lodi, NJ; Ken Muli, Abigail Muli, Taffy Karimi, Trisha Nzaumi and Blessing Kioko. She was a loving sister, aunt and friend to many. Your prayers and support for the Kioko family during these trying moments is requested. Family and friends are meeting daily at the Kioko’s residence, 87 Garibaldi Ave, Lodi NJ 07644 for prayers and support.
There will be a fundraising event on Friday July 1st, 2011 to help offset the hospital & funeral expenses and transportation of her body to Kenya at: St. Patrick’s Catholic Church Social Hall (downstairs the chapel), 492 Bramhall Ave, Jersey City, NJ 07304. Time: From 5 p.m.
There will be wake and viewing of the body on Saturday July 2, 2011 starting at 2 p.m followed by a celebration of the Resurrection mass at 4.00 p.m. St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, 492 Bramhall Ave. Jersey City, NJ, 07304.
