Big is Ok: The Enormous Video Girl From 'Ino Ni Momo' Speaks OutHer name is Janet Wambui. The 160kg woman became a pop-culture phenomenon when she appeared in the music video for Murimi wa Kahalf’s ‘Ino ni Momo’ song. The song is about a man who is in a relationship with a huge older woman, and the problems that come along with such an arrangement. Wa Kahalf says he searched high and low to find a woman that size, and even gave out 5,000 Kenyan shillings prize money to the person who could find him a true momo.

 She recently appeared on Citizen TV’s Miondoko programme and bravely spoke out about the whole situation behind receiving the ‘Momo’ tag and her weight issues before the video came out. Here is what she had to say:

On whether the video is fake, she says:
“Vile walikuwa wakiniona kwa TV walikuwa wanasema ni kompyuta. Mmeni-enlarge. Si kitu real. Sa watu wengi wako na hamu sana ya kuniona.”

On whether she has body issues, she says:
“Mi kutoka kitambo nimeshaji-appreciate vile niko. Ata home Banana watu wengi wananiitanga Biggie. Ni kitu ya kuzaliwa nayo so sikuona ni kitu big issue. Hata kuitwa momo. ”

On health problems, she says:
“Kitambo nilikuwa nikiskia uwoga. Nashindwa kutoka kwa gari juu ya watu, macho, nini. Lakini sa nikakam kuzoea. Mi huambia God asante juu ya vile aliniumba. Juu sinanga hizo mambo ya pressure, sinanga disease inanisumbua, kwa hivyo me on my side, siwezi enda Slimpossible. Hata kuna my friend alikuwa amenilipia gym. Nikamwambia staki ku-waste dough zake, juu nataka kuwa tu hivyo.”

On transport issues, she says:
“Nikienda na mat, wanasema nilipe viti viwili. Hata by the way sa mi hulipa viti viwili, juu mi huona hakuna haja ya kusumbuana na makanga. ”
