Gospel songstress and Mrs. Universe Kenya, Esther Wahome was recently named one of the peace ambassadors by Music Copyright Society of Kenya (MCSK) and has already hit the ground running.
Speaking to 1FM, the Kuna Dawa artiste said the initiative will be launched next week on Tuesday at the Carnivore. Dubbed MCSK NI SISI PEACE INITIATIVE, the peace campaign is aimed at sensitizing Kenyans on why they should maintain Peace.
Having effectively participated in the Mrs. Universe pageant whose running motto was “Against violence”, Esther is expected to bring on board the expertise she acquired from the same considering the two courses share same objective.
This initiative is entirely managed by artistes since they have more influence on the public. So far, the MCSK ni Sisi Artistes are currently visiting areas that were heavily affected by the 2007 violence and the I.D.P camps in Kenya so that they may get an actual feel of the violence.
