Mudavadi’s boost as he benefits from ODM and URP defectors


Wednesday November 14,2012 – Deputy Prime Minister Musalia Mudavadi ‘s Presidential bid received a huge boost on Tuesday after former Kaloleni MP Maurice Nzoro ditched United Republican Party (URP) to join his United Democratic Forum(UDF).

Mudavadi‘s party also received former Taita Taveta MP Basil Criticos who ditched the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) to UDF.

Speaking after his defection, Maurice Nzoro said he has consulted widely with his constituents and seen that Deputy Prime Minister Musalia Mudavadi is the only credible presidential aspirant.

Basil on his part said he knew Mudavadi when he was a young boy in parliament and expressed overwhelming confidence that he has enough experience to be the next Head of State.

The two leaders vowed to campaign for Mudavadi in the Coast region.
