Avoid all rumors on Mutula’s death Kalonzo says
Former Vice President Kalonzo Musyoka has urged Kenyans to avoid rumors and instead focus on giving Mutula Kilonzo a befitting send off.
According to Musyoka experts are investigating the mysterious death of the Makueni Senator and that Kenyans should remain calm and wait for the report.
Kilonzo’s sudden death Musyoka said, brought a lot of sadness to the Wiper party, the larger Cord grouping and the nation.
He appealed to all friends from the counties of Machakos, Kitui and Makueni to come out on Thursday and show the love we had for our friend.
Musyoka was speaking during a fundraising to cater for the burial expenses at the All Saints Cathedral in Nairobi Monday evening.
A total of Sh13, 250,000 was raised with MPs contributing Sh2 million while Senators contributed Sh1million.
A funeral mass is slated for Wednesday at the Baptist Church in Nairobi at 10am. Viewing of the body will begin at 2pm.
The funeral service will be held at Kima Secondary School before Kilonzo is interred at his ancestral home in Mbooni.
Only invited guests will be allowed next to the burial site as the home is said to be small and can only accommodate about 500 people.
