The government has announced a major restructuring of VIP security in the country that will see a number of officers redeployed to other national strategic installations. Security personnel attached to all former Mps in the 10th parliament and those currently guarding all the deputy governors have been withdrawn, while senators, governors, cabinet secretaries and county representatives have all been accorded different number of officers in line with their positions. Hussein Mohamed with more on the new directive that has also allocated 12 police officers to guard former Prime Minister Raila Odinga. Former Vice President Kalonzo Musyoka will also have 12 security officers attached to him.
