Word of the Day:An Attitude of Gratitude
Someone once said that we need to develop an attitude of gratitude, and give thanks for everything that happens to us even in the most difficult situations, knowing that every step forward is a step toward achieving something bigger and better than our current situation. An attitude of gratitude is the entry point to the life of wholeness.
Before we ask for more, have we paused to thank God for what we already have? Could we be at a position where we are discouraged at how far we have to go instead of praising God for the far He has brought us? When the ten lepers were healed, only one came back to thank Jesus and was made whole. The fastest way to get our lives back in order is to get into the presence of Jesus.
Rejoice in the Lord always; remember God is still on the throne even when you feel all alone. Instead of worrying about the lack of finances, job pressures and problems that cannot automatically change; let’s learn to present our requests to God with thanksgiving at all times. Let us enter His gates with thanksgiving in our hearts and his courts with joy. Finally declare in your life that this is the day the Lord has made and you shall be glad in it.
“Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.”
