Kenyans dominated the Frankfurt Marathon on Sunday, claiming the top five positions in the men’s race and a 1-2 finish in the women’s event.
Vincent Kipruto crossed the line in 2 hours 6 minutes and 15 seconds to win the men’s category, closely followed by  Mark Kiptoo  on 2:06:16 and Elijah Kemboi on 2:07:34.
Fellow Kenyans Jacob Chesari and Albert Matebor finished fourth and fifth with times of 2:07:46 and 2:08:17 respectively, with Lani Rutto finishing eight and Richard Sigei ninth to complete the impressive performance.
In the women’s race, Caroline Kilel finished first with a time of 2 hours 22 minutes and 34 seconds, followed by compatriot Flomena Chepchirchir on 2:23:00 with Ethiopia’s Birhane Dibaba completing the top three with 2:23:01.
