A section of Coast Cord MPs have defended Deputy President William Ruto over the ICC case against him.
They have asked the ICC prosecutor Fatou Bensouda to drop the charges against Ruto.
They include Abdulswamad Nassir (Mvita), Badi Twalib (Jomvu), Mishi Mboko (Mombasa women’s representative) and Zainab Chidzuga (Kwale women’s representative).
They were speaking at the Vipingo Sports Ground in Kilifi county at the homecoming party of Kilifi South MP Mustafa Idd on Sunday.
“Kenya has had enough of shreds by Bensouda. We are now tired. We want our country to move on,” said Abdulswamad.
He said Kenya should be left to solve her own problems.
“I speak as a voice of a million people. We are tired of this limbo. We want to run this country and we want to run it smoothly,” Abdulswamad said.
