The government and the private sector have been investing in marketing and diversifying Kenya’s tourism products amid growing competition.

A three-day hot air balloon festival to be hosted in the Maasai Mara game reserve from Friday, is expected to feed into these on-going efforts.

Organised by Prestige Travel in partnership with Brussels Airlines and Kempinski Hotels, the event is geared at promoting hot air balloons as an eco-friendly alternative to view wildlife.

“Different balloon safari companies will be on site to showcase their products,” a statement from the organisers read.-nation.co.ke
