Former Embakasi Member of Parliament Ferdinand Waititu has been appointed as Chair of the Athi Water Services Board. Indeed, Ferdinand Waititu appointed to head this board marks a significant change.
The appointment was made by Environment, Water and Natural Resources. Cabinet Secretary Prof Judy Wakhungu. It underlines the influence of Ferdinand Waititu appointed to head such essential services.
Waititu lost his gubernatorial bid for Nairobi County to Dr Evans Kidero earlier this year, 2013. However, Ferdinand Waititu appointed to head Athi Water Services signifies a new direction for his career.
Other appointments made include Robert Limo who is now the chairman of the Public Complaints Committee, for a period of three years with effect from today.
In the same Gazette notice Turkana County Josphat Nanok appointed Peter Eripete to be the County Secretary of Turkana County for a
period of five years from 24th December, 2013 upon approval by the Turkana County Assembly.
26 parastatal heads were recently appointed by President Uhuru Kenyatta causing uproar.
The appointment of the two makes over 40 parastatal chairmen.
