Lupita dazzles in her first Vogue cover

Actress Lupita Nyong’o is at it again, she is the Vogue Magazine July issue cover model.

On the cover, Lupita smoulders in a print dress with a plunging neckline and cut outs with the top story being ‘her incredible breakout year’.

Vogue is a world fashion and lifestyle magazine that is published monthly in 23 national and regional editions.

Announcing the move on Thursday through her Instagram account, the Oscar winner expressed her excitement.

‘This Summer, I am totally COVERED! check it out here: #Vogue @voguemagazine,’ she commented on a Vogue photo she shared.

Ms Nyong’o is the second Kenyan to make it to the magazine cover after Malaika Firth, the Kenyan born-beauty who was featured in the UK’s November 2013 issue.

Other dark skinned prominent women who have featured in the cover include America’s First Lady Michelle Obama, Supermodel Naomi Campbell and singers Beyoncé and Rihanna.

This comes days after she was awarded the MTV Africa’s personality of the year triumphing Nigeria’s Chimamanda Adichie.

Ms Nyong’o also joined the cast of the new “Star Wars” movie, alongside the original stars of the legendary series.

Her other achievements include being named the People’s Most Beautiful Woman, the first black to hold that title.
