Lupita has again scaled Kenya to greater heights in the entertainment industry after scooping yet another prestigious award, the BET Awards.
Music group Camp Mulla may have been the first Kenyans to get a BET Awards nomination for the “Best International Act – Africa category in 2012 but Lupita Nyong’o made it as the first ever Kenyan to win a BET Award.
Our very own Lupita was squaring the award with the likes of ‘Being Mary Jane’ star, Gabrielle Union, Angela Bassett, Kerry Washington and Oprah Winfrey.
The coveted awards event was held at the Nokia Theater in Los Angeles last weekend.
