Early July, Kenya’s best performing governor, Dr Alfred Mutua made headlines when his county government unveiled the first of 260 Wananchi toilets that are being built in Machakos County.
The toilet was built in less than 10 days utilizing new cutting edge construction technology. Moving away from Machakos County and into Siaya County, the same project or rather intention of providing the public with a public rest rooms was undertaken but with different results.
