
Sad to announce the death of Regina Mutoko We know her as the bubbly host of the once popular game show Omo Pick a Box, Regina Mutokosuccumbed to injuries sustained in a bathroom accident this morning.

Away From tv Regina was an IT consultant before her death.
One day she was tasked by her employer to audition models for a game show, Omo Pick a Box.
At the end of the audition, her employer asked her to also audition, and despite having no experience in hosting such programmes, she won the contract.
She will be missed a lot for she was a hardworking and social person who loved life a people.

Rose to fame in the 1990s as the bubbly host of the popular KBC game show Omo Pick‑a‑Box, capturing Kenyan audiences with her infectious smile and professionalism.
Despite her early success in entertainment, she remained remarkably private—never owning social media and balancing fame with personal discretion.
Transition to ICT Leadership
Earned a BSc in Electrical and Communications Engineering from Moi University as one of just two women in her 400-student class.
Held a role as a Microsoft Engineer at Fintech Kenya, later ascending to ICT & Multimedia Director at USIU, where she championed e-learning initiatives and helped make the campus nearly paperless.
Passing & Post-mortem Findings
Tragically died at age 39 in September 2014 at home in Kileleshwa. Initially thought to be a bathroom accident.
Subsequent autopsy revealed she died from a pulmonary embolism caused by deep vein thrombosis. No foul play was involved.

Younger sister of renowned Kiss 100 presenter Caroline Mutoko, who described Regina as her “sister and best friend” in heart-felt tributes.
