President Uhuru Kenyatta fulfills his promise to Gor Mahia

President Uhuru Kenyatta donated Sh 2 million to Gor Mahia in keeping with a promise he made to the club when they visited him at State House one month ago.

Gor Mahia chairman Ambrose Rachier received the money on Tuesday and was grateful for the President’s gesture.

“The money has come in handy considering that at this time we are involved in recruitment of players and paying off other debts,” said Rachier.

Gor Mahia have so far signed ten new players after losing a number of key players. The team will represent the country in the CAF champions league.

Despite being the Kenyan champions, Gor Mahia are struggling to run their affairs due to lack of finances.
