Nairobi County Governor Evans Kidero Sunday said the county has handed over CCTV footage on the murder of former Kabete MP George Muchai to the criminal investigation officials.
Mr Kidero was speaking after attending the Holly Trinity Church in Kariobangi North Sunday service on February 8, 2015.
He said his county inspectorate office has submitted the footage that captured the hooded killer of Kabete MP George Muchai and the car they were using.
The former MP was killed together with his driver and two body guards about 20 meters from the closed circuit television (CCTV) surveillance cameras along Kenyatta avenue.
The Nairobi County’s CCTV Control Command Centre is situated at Nyayo House, a few metres from the scene.
The Head of the Directorate of Criminal Investigations Saturday evening said he was yet to receive the CCTV evidence from the county government.
The security chiefs have pinned their hopes of unlocking the mystery murder partly on the CCTV footage.
