FIVE MPS from Rift Valley have dismissed Bomet Governor Isaac Rutto’s plans to run for President in 2017.
Speaking to the Star at Parliament Buildings on Thursday, the leaders termed the announcement on Wednesday “a joke of the year”.
They are Kericho Senator Charles Keter, MPs Joyce Laboso (Sotik), Benjamin Langat (Ainamoi), Oscar Sudi (Kapseret) and Ronald Tanui (Bomet Central).
Keter, who is also a close ally of Deputy President William Ruto, said Rutto has no chance of ascending to the presidency.
“If to manage a small county has become a challenge how can he lead the entire country?”
