Police have launched investigations into an incident where a woman attempted to commit suicide after accusing her husband of denying her conjugal rights.
The incident attracted a huge crowd at Kambi Moto slums near Kipkarren trading centre on Friday evening.
Lumakanda OCS Lawrence Nallo said prior to the incident, the woman, June Mirati, is said to have ambushed her husband at a hotel where he works and asked him to accompany her to their house. It is claimed she threatened to cut off his private parts if he failed to have sex with her.
However, the commotion inside the couple’s house attracted neighbours who stormed inside and separated the two.
Later in the day the enraged woman was found dangling, with a rope around her neck inside their house.
She was rescued by the neighbours and taken to hospital.
