Muthama’s ’embarrassing’ claims on Uhuru were personal – Kalembe
“The attacks were so personal that one would assume he had a hidden agenda,” Kalembe Ndile said.
“People should know what he said was his personal opinion and not the feeling of the people he represents.”
Addressing the press in Machakos town on Saturday, he asked authorities to take action against individuals inciting the public and engaging in hate speech.
He said this causes “unnecessary tension and raises political temperatures yet the next general election is not around the corner”.
Kalembe further said Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka has “failed” as he did not initiate any “tangible” development in Ukambani while he was VP.
Kalembe criticised Kalonzo with the remarks following the Wiper leader’s sentiment that the Jubilee government derailed development in Kitui.
“Kalonzo should not talk about government projects as he is not in government now. While he was there he did nothing about it,” said the former Kibwezi MP.
Kalembe, who was recently appointed member of the Water Services Regulatory Board, said he is now firmly in government.
He asked Kalonzo to “give Uhuru’s administration space and stop attempting to drive a wedge between the Kambas and the government.”
“Kalonzo has outlived his time in politics. He should sit back and leave development to the likes of Machakos Governor Alfred Mutua.”
