A man died Thursday when a train hit him as he walked along railroad tracks in Richmond.
The incident happened about 11 a.m. about half of a mile east of a bridge over the Brazos River on U.S. 90, said Lt. Lowell Neinast, spokesman for the Richmond Police Department.
Neinast said the man, whose name has not been released, died at the scene.
No other injuries were reported.
It was unclear why the man was on the tracks. Investigators are trying to determine what led to the incident.
