Moi is behind those troubling Ruto, says Murkomen
Senate deputy majority leader Kipchumba Murkomen wants retired President Daniel Moi to stop inciting his son Gideon to trouble Deputy President William Ruto. The Elgeyo Marakwet senator said Moi, who was supported by Kalenjins for 40 years, is behind those troubling Ruto.
“We are happy that God has ashamed our enemies and scared them away by freeing Ruto, who was victimised by his political enemies. It is unfortunate that the Moi we supported for decades is behind Rift foes who were troubling Ruto while he faced painful ICC accusations,” he said.
Murkomen spoke in Kuresoi South on Friday during celebrations after the cases against Ruto and journalist Joshua Sang were terminated. “All our enemies have received confirmation from God that Ruto is an anointed leader who deserves respect,” he said. Murkomen said Kalenjins never questioned Moi’s performance when he was Vice President.
