KENYAN HOUSE HELP CAUGHT ON TAPE ASSAULTING CHILD IN ABU DHABI
A video has emerged online showing a Kenyan house help assaulting her employer’s child in the United Arab Emirates.
The video, captured by a hidden camera, shows the house help approaching a small boy seated on a couch in the living room, inspects the boy’s undergarments and then slaps him thrice.
The house help was employed by a fellow Kenyan. She has since been returned to Kenya.
The video was uploaded on a diaspora Facebook page, KEWA– uarabuni, by Hellen Francis whose son was the victim.
The three-minute clip shows the child being assaulted in the presence of his terrified elder brother.
The mother of two shared the video with the caption: “Wagithomo housemaid beating our little boy, be careful with the maids that take care of your kids while you are away this is so sad. Her Name is Merriam Wangui.”
In the footage, the house help makes the small boy stand next to the coffee table before removing his undergarments and slapping him several times.
The first born of the house watches helplessly as the house help beats up his small brother. Towards the end of the clip, the older boy stands up as the house help takes the small boy out of the living room.
