Facebook founder and CEO Mark Zuckerberg is in Kenya.

Zuckerberg was spotted in Nairobi this morning, yet ironically, it was Twitter that broke the news, not Facebook.

He had lunch at a ‘Kibandaski’ with ICT Cabinet Secretary Joe Mucheru.

Zuckerberg then visited WiFi device maker BRCK in Nairobi.

Zuckerberg is the worth $51 billion and is currently the sixth richest man in the world.

Facebook founder and CEO Mark Zuckerberg visited Kenya in 2016 as part of a surprise tour of African tech hubs:

Zuckerberg arrived in Nairobi for his first visit to Kenya and sub-Saharan Africa. His visit included:

-Meeting with entrepreneurs and developers at iHub, Nairobi’s innovation hub
Visiting the BRCK offices to chat with journalists

-Meeting with ICT Cabinet Secretary Joe Mucheru to discuss plans to bring free internet to remote areas.

-Eating ugali and tilapia with Mucheru.

-Going on safari at Lake Naivasha.

Zuckerberg’s observations
He praised Kenya for being a leader in mobile money and said he was inspired by how engineers were using mobile money to build businesses. He also said that Africa will build the future
