Fire burns top KANU boss house in Kericho

Property of unknown value was reduced to rubble Thursday night after a fire razed down a house belonging to former Bomet Member of Parliament and KANU Secretary General, Nick Salat, in Chagik area in the outskirts of Kericho Town.

The cause of the fire is yet to be established, but sections suspect it could be due to an electric fault.

An eye-witness said the fire, suspected to have started in one of the rooms in the house, spread rapidly to other areas, razing down the entire structure.

The house was unoccupied at the time of the incident. Neighbours unsuccessfully attempted to put out the fire.
