The Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) Party Appeals Tribunal sitting at Marsh Park Hotel in Nairobi was on Monday, May 1 disrupted by unknown men clad in black.
The Tribunal chairperson, Willis Otieno, adjourned the sitting indefinitely fearing for safety of the members.
The appeals tribunal members were evacuated to safety with the chairperson saying that there will be no more sittings until further notice.
The tribunal is facing a herculean task to resolve hundreds of appeal cases lodged by members emanating from tightly contested party primaries held between April 13 and 30.
The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) has set May 10 as the deadline for political parties to submit list of their candidates to contest in the August polls.
