Sad Video of Driver Running Over a Woman in Nairobi

A 45-second video has emerged on social media showing the spine-chilling moment a motorist ran over a woman seated on the sidewalk of a Nairobi street.

The footage, captured by a shop’s CCTV camera, shows two women seated on the sidewalk adjacent to a parking slot before a red car is seen reversing into the empty slot where one of the women is seated.

As the driver of the vehicle reverses with the help of a parking guide, she loses control of the vehicle and rams into the woman who has little time to get out of the way.

The car further drags the woman and smashes her onto the wall of adjacent shops before coming to an abrupt stop.

The horrific footage, dated Friday 28 April, has been viewed over 9000 times on Facebook with social media users calling on drivers to exercise caution.

Others have expressed anger at the second woman who is seen walking away from the scene like nothing has happened.
