Former Kitui Senator and Wiper Democratic Party Chairman David Musila says Nasa co-principal Kalonzo Musyoka is a political burden to the Kamba community.

Mr Musila, who led a delegation of Kamba community leaders at a meeting with President Kenyatta and his deputy William Ruto at State House in Nairobi on Monday, said for many years they have not benefited in any way from Mr Musyokaโ€™s stay in government.

GOVERNORS

โ€œEvery five years he wants a higher seat. But itโ€™s now too much. Itโ€™s now the wish of the Kamba people that we support the government,โ€ Mr Musila said.

โ€œIโ€™m bringing a lot of political experience with these leaders and commit all of it to you,โ€ he told Mr Kenyatta and his deputy.

Mr Musila who lost in the Kitui governor election to Charity Ngilu said the presidential repeat election ordered by the Supreme Court was a blessing in disguise for the Kamba community to chart a different political course.

Also in attendance were governors Mike Sonko (Nairobi) and Alfred Mutua (Machakos).

MPs who lost in the August 8 election also attended.

COLD

Former Kaiti MP Gideon Ndambuki said Kambas have been in the political cold since 2013.

โ€œIts time to redeem ourselves,โ€ he declared.

Former Kilome MP Regina Ndambuki said they would guard votes in Ukambani whether systems work or not.

โ€œJubilee has launched development projects despite not getting votes in 2013. Itโ€™s our time to pay back,โ€ she said.
