Former Kitui Senator and Wiper Democratic Party Chairman David Musila says Nasa co-principal Kalonzo Musyoka is a political burden to the Kamba community.
Mr Musila, who led a delegation of Kamba community leaders at a meeting with President Kenyatta and his deputy William Ruto at State House in Nairobi on Monday, said for many years they have not benefited in any way from Mr Musyoka’s stay in government.
GOVERNORS
“Every five years he wants a higher seat. But it’s now too much. It’s now the wish of the Kamba people that we support the government,” Mr Musila said.
“I’m bringing a lot of political experience with these leaders and commit all of it to you,” he told Mr Kenyatta and his deputy.
Mr Musila who lost in the Kitui governor election to Charity Ngilu said the presidential repeat election ordered by the Supreme Court was a blessing in disguise for the Kamba community to chart a different political course.
Also in attendance were governors Mike Sonko (Nairobi) and Alfred Mutua (Machakos).
MPs who lost in the August 8 election also attended.
COLD
Former Kaiti MP Gideon Ndambuki said Kambas have been in the political cold since 2013.
“Its time to redeem ourselves,” he declared.
Former Kilome MP Regina Ndambuki said they would guard votes in Ukambani whether systems work or not.
“Jubilee has launched development projects despite not getting votes in 2013. It’s our time to pay back,” she said.
