The Center for Effective Global Action (CEGA) seeks a postdoctoral scholar with a PhD in economics, public health, public policy, statistics, or a related field to work on the Kenya Life Panel Survey (KLPS) project. CEGA will give preference to candidates with experience conducting primary data collection, particularly in sub-Saharan Africa, and also those with experience related to randomized controlled trials with a focus on health, education, cash transfers, and/or children.
Under the mentorship of CEGA Faculty Director Ted Miguel, the KLPS postdoc will work with an existing research team to design and implement an additional round of data collection for the Kenya Life Panel Survey. The KLPS is a longitudinal data collection effort that has collected information from Kenyan individuals in multiple rounds of data collection starting in 2003, and has been used to study the impacts of various embedded randomized controlled trials related to health, education, training, and cash grants. The upcoming KLPS round will include data collection on adults and children.
