Death Announcement For David G. Mboroki Of Waterbury, CTWATERBURY David G. Mboroki age 67 of Waterbury, passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 29th 2018 at the Masonic Home of Wallingford surrounded by the love and comfort of his family after a courageous three year battle with cancer.  He was the loving husband of Fredah Gatobu.


David was born April 15th 1950 in Kenya, Africa, the son of the late Jeremiah and Priscilla (Nkirote) Mboroki.  He was raised in Kenya where he was educated and worked as an electrician for many years before immigrating to the United States in 2005.  Although David had physically left Kenya, part of him still remained there and he always enjoyed traveling there to visit with his family and friends.  David enjoyed watching television to stay up to date on current US and Foreign affairs and was avid reader.  What brought the greatest joy to David was spending time with his family, especially his children and grandchildren.


Besides his wife, Fredah of 40 years, David is survived by his children; Lloyd Gatobu and his wife, Nikki of CA., Michael Gatobu of Waterbury; Linet Araka and her husband, Paul of Kenya; and Juliet Gatobu of TX.  In addition, David is survived by his four brothers, four sisters and his three grandchildren, Mya, Nathan and Olive as well as many other extended family and friends.


Funeral services for Mr. Mboroki will be held on Saturday April 7th at 12:00 noon at Casey’s Eastside Memorial Funeral Home, 1987 East Main St. @ Southmayd Rd. Waterbury, CT 06705 Burial will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
