NYERI, Kenya, Jun 11 – A section of Nyeri leaders have told Nyeri Town MP Ngunjiri Wambugu that he will walk alone in his ongoing campaign fighting Deputy President William Ruto’s 2022 presidential bid.
Nyeri Senator Ephraim Maina, Nyeri MP Rahab Mukami and a section of MCA’s and the business community said that Nyeri and Mt Kenya Region is behind William Ruto come 2022.
Speaking during a fundraiser at Muruguru Catholic Church in Nyeri, Senator Maina said that they are behind Ruto noting that he was the backbone of uniting Kenya and the re-election of President Uhuru Kenyatta.
Mukami echoed his remarks stating that Ruto is the favorite candidate to succeed Kenyatta.
On his part, Kikuyu MP Kimani Ichung’wah said that they will not be distracted by those saying that they are hopping in the country campaigning for Ruto noting that they are focusing on implementing the Jubilee Big Four.
Ichung’wah said that they will remain focused adding that Jubilee has its candidate in 2022 who will be the biggest beneficiary of the Big Four Agenda and he will be elected on the work that they will have delivered to Kenyans.
