Ruth Kamande competes with Croatian President as most searched in Kenya

The 2016 Miss Langata Prison beauty queen Ruth Kamande was among the top searches made by Kenyans on Google last month.

According to the top trending searches for the month of July on Google, the sentencing of Kamande at the High Court for stabbing her pilot boyfriend to death was fifth on the list.

She was the top local search only topped by the universal phenomenon that dominated last month the World Cup, lunar eclipse, Croatian President Kolinda Grabar-Kitarovi? and the sexiest woman alive.

Kamande was sentenced to death for stabbing Farid Mohammed 25 times in 2015 in what was dubbed as a crime of passion over claims that Farid had allegedly been taking HIV suppressing drugs without her knowledge.

Justice Jessie Lesiit ruled that she had acted in malice and dismissed her arguments that she acted in self-defence.

On the other hand, President Kolinda was turning heads with her stunning looks at the World Cup and earned praise from fans across the globe for personally attending her country’s matches.

Croatia lost to France at the finals.
