Man seen leaving Monica Kimani’s home in the company of Joe Irungu on the night she is believed to have been murdered has been arrested.
Jennings Okoth Orlando was on Friday presented in court and police given 14 days to detain him as they further probe the issue.
Jennings is a former Recce Squad member and is the prime suspect’s friend.
Sources say that he was arrested on Thursday night, was booked at Muthaiga Police Station and in the morning arraigned at Kiambu Law courts.
Earlier reports indicated that Jennings had fled the country and into Tanzania. He made a stop in Mombasa where DCI detectives camped for a couple of days.
It is here that he allegedly sought ‘cleansing’ services from a witchdoctor.
Kahawa Tungu recently reported that Jowie was at Road House Grill together with Jennings. According to sources, the duo told those they were with at the restaurant that they had a job elsewhere and had to excuse themselves at around 9 PM only to resurface minutes after 2 AM.
