We deeply regret to announce the sudden passing of Morrison E. Mutongi, known to his family and friends as “The Mayor” on January 5th, 2019. He was the son of Hesbon Mutongi, Esther Dovolosio and Rose Mutongi. He is survived by his loving wife, Robai Egenya. He was father to Julie Mutongi, Anthony and Doreen Mutongi, Alex and Dorothy Mutongi, Daniel Mutongi, Clara Mutongi, Lillian and Ernest Mlati and Lorna and Wesley Harris. Brother to Graham Mutongi, Befrey Kendeli (Late), Edith Mutongi, Margareth Opanga, Florence Otiende, Stanley Mutongi, Linet Mutongi, Dr. Kenda Mutongi, Vincent Mutongi, and Patrick Mutongi. Grandfather and uncle to many, relatives and friends.
The cortege will leave Kaimosi mortuary followed by funeral service at Viyalo Friends Church. Burial will take place on Wednesday, January 16, 2019 at Weligina Village, Vihiga County. May his Soul Rest in Peace.
