Detectives in Nakuru have arrested a prison officer suspected to have plotted the murder of his colleague Caroline Jepchirchir, 22.
Raymond Kiplimo was handed over to Nakuru Main GK Prisonย by his family.Nakuru DCIO Mr David Wangai has said was brought to the prison facility at 5pm Monday.After his surrender, prison management handed him over to investigators who have been searching for him since the murder was reported on April 3.
Kiplimo is currently being interrogated at DCIO offices in Nakuru.”Kiplimo is being held at our offices where he is bring interrogated following his arrest this evening,” Wangai said.Night of carousal Kiplimo and his colleague Joseph Kairu was with the slain prison officer before she went missing on the night of April 2.The three were last seen at Woodlands club located at London estate.
They hired a self-driven taxi, belonging to Crown Company and drove towards Nyahururu via Subukia road.Jepchirchir’s body was recovered on April 3, and taken to Nyahururu Hospital morgue.The autopsy done at War Memorial Hospital, by government pathologist Dr. Titus Ngulungu indicated that Jepchirchir was strangled to death.There were blood clots on her neck, nose, tongue and both hands.
