“She told us that we must not forget that this is not college as we knew it — that we are now adults with families, jobs, and so many other things going on. So we must have realistic expectations about what we want and how many classes we take.”
According to Wairimu, those words became a source of motivation and encouragement during difficult moments.
He says the understanding and support from instructors helped him remain focused and committed even during stressful periods.
From Student to Global Logistics Specialist
After years of determination and perseverance, Wairimu’s hard work has now opened new doors professionally.
He received a job offer from Cummins Engine and currently works as a Global Reverse Logistics Specialist in Memphis, Tennessee.
