Kibaki’s son face off with Mary Wambui over ‘endorsement’
Jimmy, who accompanied Mr Gichuki during his campaign meetings in Othaya Constituency, said he was instructed to support him by his father, President Kibaki, due to his development agenda.
At the same time, businesswoman Mary Wambui, who is eyeing the seat on a TNA ticket, dismissed Jimmy’s remarks, saying his message had not come from State House.
“Mzee asked me not to go to church, but instead come to Othaya and support Gichuki in his campaigns for his enduring involvement in development,” said Jimmy.
Jimmy had claimed he was called to State House and questioned why he was not supporting Gichuki.“I went with Uhuru Kenyatta, the TNA leader to mzee (President Kibaki), where he also confirmed he supported Gichuki due to his close interaction with Othaya people,” said Jimmy.
