Have you ever thrown your phone into the dustbin instead of the trash in your hand? Cooked food without adding salt? Or locked your keys inside your car? These are the kind of things we do when we do not give careful thought to what we are doing.
Careless thinking means we either do something we should not do or fail to do something we should. These wrong or irresponsible actions can have serious lasting consequences. Take Esau for instance, he sold his birthright to his brother because he was hungry and did not give careful thought to his decision.
God wants us to give careful thought to our actions, words and relationships and make decisions that bring glory to Him. Let us think about what is good, right, pure and true by letting God’s word control our thoughts in everything we do. Whatever you do today, give it careful thought.
