Gor Mahia were on Sunday officially crowned this year’s Kenyan Premier League champions, ending an 18 year wait for the title.
Despite losing 2-0 to KCB at the Moi International Sports Centre, Kasarani, Gor’s insurmountable 12 point lead prior to kick-off meant that the league was decided weeks ago, and Gor were handed the trophy with one game still to play.

KCB won thanks to goals from Clifford Alwanga and Jacob Keli, moving above Bandari to fourth in the table.
