Mutua, Muthama feud erupts again
Machakos Governor Alfred Mutua has accused Senator Johnson Muthama of plotting to end the political career of Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka. “Senator Muthama is carrying out his plans by attacking Kalonzo’s pillars in Ukambani but his schemes will fail,” Mutua said.
Speaking on Saturday during the opening of the rehabilitated Machakos Stadium, Mutua said Muthama has been undermining the former vice president in his quest for Ukambani political supremacy.
He said he has joined forces with all Ukambani leaders to defend the former vice president and defeat Muthama’s plans . “This man is out to create disunity through his retrogressive politics,” Mutua said.
In his most scathing attack on the senator, Mutua accused Muthama of a campaign to sabotage the county government programs. The governor’s remarks were backed by several Ukambani legislators during the official opening of the stadium in Machakos town.
Mwingi Central MP Joe Mutambu urged Kalonzo to cut links with Muthama for his ‘lack of respect for other Kamba leaders. ‘ We are telling Kalonzo to de-link himself from Muthama or we will de-link ourselves from him,” Mutambu said.
